You can attach any files related to your project to a task — documents, images, videos, links, materials etc.
If you are used to storing files in cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox, you can attach links to them to a task. This way you will have all your documents in one place, and you can quickly find all the task details.
There are no limits on the number of attachments, only on individual file size. It varies from 5Mb to 100Mb depending on your subscription type.
You can attach almost any kind of file* to the task, as long as it does not exceed the size specified in your subscription type (up to 5Mb for free accounts). There is no limit on the number of files. To attach a file to a task:
  1. Open the Projects panel and select a project
  2. Find the task and click on it's name. The task card will open
  3. Go to tab
  4. Here you can find all the task's "Attachments"
  5. Click "Add file" and then the first item "Choose file"
  6. Pick the file in the file explorer and wait for it to upload
If the file cannot be uploaded for any reason (due to connectivity issues, excessive size, or invalid format), a red message will appear in the top right corner.
* — prohibited file extensions: .bat, .com, .exe, .htm, .html, .reg as well as a number of system files and scripts
You can attach any links to the task. Links to websites, videos, social media, Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive files. There is no limit on the number of links. To attach a link to a task:
  1. Open the Projects panel and select a project
  2. Find the task and click on it's name. The task card will open
  3. Go to tab
  4. Here you can find all the task's "Attachments"
  5. Click "Add link"
  6. In the panel that appears type the name of the link (this is how it will be displayed in the task) and paste the link itself. The link can be started with a protocol (http, https, ftp etc.), but it is not necessary
In addition to standard files, you have the option to attach files from various cloud storage platforms (like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and others) to any task. There's no restriction on the number of attachments from these services. To incorporate a file from a cloud storage into your task:
  1. Open the Projects panel and select a project
  2. Find the task and click on it's name. The task card will open
  3. Go to tab
  4. Here you can find all the task's "Attachments"
  5. Click "Add file" and then choose the cloud platform with your files - Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive. The permission may be asked for the first time
  6. Pick the file in the file and cleck "Add" or "Choose"
  7. Click "Save" to save task's changes
When you're working with a task card on SAU.app, there are three ways to view any attachments you've added:
  • List Mode. This shows all your files in the order you added them. For each file, you'll see its size and a link to access it. It's a straightforward, sequential display
  • Table Mode. If you need more details, switch to the table view. Here, you get a comprehensive look at each file, including its name, size, the date it was uploaded, and who uploaded it. It's great for getting a full overview
  • Preview Mode. For a quick glance, use the preview mode. It displays thumbnails for media files like images or videos. For other types of files, you'll see relevant icons. This view is handy for visually identifying your files quickly
No matter how you choose to view your attachments, you can order them by name, date, or size, making it easier to find what you're looking for.
A task cover is a visual representation of a task on the SAU.app platform. You can select a cover within the task card. Remember, the task cover is only displayed in the "Board" view.
Using task covers on the board can be particularly handy in various scenarios. For instance:

Preparing for photo shoots
Working on art projects
And more!
To set a cover for your task:
  1. Open the Projects panel and select a project
  2. Find the task and click on it's name. The task card will open
  3. Go to tab
  4. Click Choose cover on the blue panel and choose the image from the list of attached media. If there are no pictures in the list, make sure that image files are attached to the task (attachments should be added as files, not links).
  5. Click "Save"
To see the cover of a task, you need to open the project in the 'Board' view.
  1. Open the project panel and select a project
  2. Choose the 'Board' view under the project name
  3. Find the task you're looking for. Its cover will be displayed under the task's name
To clear the cover of the task you can delete that image from the task or unpin the image from the cover:
  1. Open the Projects panel and select a project
  2. Find the task and click on it's name. The task card will open
  3. Go to tab
  4. Click Choose cover and then Clear task cover
  5. Click "Save"
Anyone from the project team can delete an attachment.
To delete an attachment:
  1. Open the Projects panel and select a project
  2. Find the task and click on it's name. The task card will open
  3. Go to tab
  4. Here you can find all the task's "Attachments"
  5. Click the cross to the right of the attachment you want to remove and confirm deletion
A deleted attachment cannot be recovered (but if it was something very important, please contact our support, we will try to help you).
